Munawar completed his LLB from the City University, London in 2002 and Bar Vocational Course from Inn’s of Courts School of Law, UK before being called to the Bar by the Hon’ble Society of The Lincoln’s Inn, UK, in 2004. Prior to embarking on the legal education and training, Munawar did his B.A. in 1996 from the Government College Lahore and completed his M.Sc. in History from the Quad-e-Azam University Islamabad in 1999.

Munawar was enrolled as an advocate High Court in 2004. Munawar has handled complex cases on behalf of Pakistan Sugar Mills Association before the Monopoly Control Authority in Islamabad as well as against the Monopoly Control Authority in Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, Rawalpindi independently and assisted renowned lawyers Mr. Ashtar Ausaf Ali and Mr. Fakhurdin Gee Ibrahim on the issue of NHP (Net Hydel Profit) between WAPDA and Government of Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa before the Arbitral Tribunal at Islamabad constituted under the Chairmanship of Chief Justice (R) of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Ajmal Mian. Munawar has also worked in Punjab Prosecution Department from March 2007 to April 2008 where he obtained rich experience of criminal litigation and has obtained a better knowledge of criminal law. Currently, Munawar has been advising, PEPCO,WAPDA and FESCO since 2008, Lahore Development Authority and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) , Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited.
